Registration open for the 2019 Midwest Regional 3-D Symposium

The 2019 Midwest Regional 3-D Symposium is set for June 7 at Children's Mercy Park in Kansas City.

The day-long event will highlight the growing role of 3-D technologies in education, manufacturing and healthcare as well as help foster new opportunities between professionals, educators, healthcare providers, engineers and researchers.

Registration is $25 for students and $75 for adults through May 31. Onsite registration will be available at $50 for students and $100 for adults. The fee covers all sessions, poster sessions, meals, vendors and a copy of the program guide. Visit www.MR3DS.org to register or for more information.

Now in its third year, the symposium will feature concurrent educational tracks in manufacturing and industry, healthcare, and education and research. Expected attendees include major universities, K-12 schools, medical schools, state and local governments, investors, entrepreneurs and companies throughout the Midwest and beyond.

Keynote speakers for the event include Gabor Forgacs, Ph.D., professor, biological physics at the University of Missouri; Mark Abshire, senior application engineer, Additive Manufacturing; and Sharukh S. Khajotia, BDS, M.S., Ph.D., professor and head, Division of Dental Biomaterials, College of Dentistry, University of Oklahoma.

Children's Mercy Park is the home of Major League Soccer's Sporting Kansas City.

The Midwest Regional 3-D Symposium is hosted by the Midwest Regional 3-D Technology Society and sponsored in part by the departments of Neurosurgery and Plastic Surgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
