The University of Kansas Hospital has advanced imaging techniques for the evaluation of Chiari malformation and Syringomyelia with the most advanced MRI capabilities including a 3 Tesla magnet. Special flow sequences can be helpful to surgeons in evaluating these disorders.
Surgeons will evaluate the patient and review their imaging to determine the best treatment option. If surgery is necessary, surgeons will choose the best approach for the individual patient.
