Research opportunities
Research and other scholarly activity are integral parts of the Nephrology Fellowship Program.
- For fellows on a two-year clinical track, time is available to pursue one or more research projects of limited scope during the lighter rotations.
- For fellows on the research track, their training program incorporates two to three years dedicated to full-time laboratory or clinical research.
- The major areas of research strength are: polycystic kidney disease, glomerular development and disease, mineral metabolism, transport physiology, and kidney diseases outcomes research. For details of our active research programs, please see the Kidney Institute website.
