Clinical interests
My two main clinical interests are transplant and renal stones. As a transplant nephrologist, I work with patients for their pre-transplant evaluation, peri-transplant management and post-transplant care. Kidney stones are common, painful and can require hospitalizations, surgical procedures causing significant morbidity. I work on stone prevention by identifying an individual's risks for stones, patient counseling and simple interventions like dietary changes.
Research interests
My primary research interest relates to the field of renal transplant. Specifically, I am focusing on transplant immunology as well as impact of different immunosuppression on transplant outcomes. Currently, I am in the process of developing a hypothesis-generating transplant database to address some of these issues.
