Research Interest
The TCIF is a fee-for serivice facility supporting the reserach efforts of investigators at the KUMC and the surrounding reserach community. In this capacity, we are providing the services of generation of transgenic and chimeric mice, targeting of embryonic stem cells, genotyping, sperm and embryo cyropreservation, rederivation by embryo transfer and in vitro fertilization. We also provide consultation, demonstration and training on contruct generation, embryo handling and mouse surgeries and will be adding the service on intracytoplasmic sperm injection. We welcome the opportunity to research new projects, and we are developing new techniques and services to offer to investigators. My lab is also investigating the in vivo function of a novel recombinase for use in genetic engineering.
