We are interested in transcriptional regulation of cell differentiation. One of our studies is related to early lineage determination during embryonic development. We investigate signaling pathways regulating trophoblast specific gene expression, trophoblast differentiation, and placental development. Our other study involves estrogen signaling in regulation of reproductive tract development and fertility. We are also involved in developing cell and animal model systems for related studies.
