Student Research Forum Awards - 2012

On March 29, 2012, the Student Research Forum highlighted exciting research being conducted by KUMC students through the annual poster session and oral presentations. The Center for Epigenetics and Stem Cell Biology identified 1 outstanding oral presentation in their area of research focus, and on March 30, awarded a wooden award plaque and a $500 travel award to one deserving student. The winning student is mentored by Tomoo Iwakuma, PhD. Please join us in congratulating Ms. Iyer on this important achievement!

Jinxi Wang Awarded Distinguished Professorship

At an investiture ceremony in November of 2011, Jinxi Wang, MD, was awarded the Mary Alice and Paul R. Harrington, MD, Distinguished Professorship. Dr. Wang is the director of KUMC's Harrington Laboratory for Molecular Orthopedics, which has a national reputation in researching the biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology of skeletal tissues.

 

 Student Research Forum Awards - 2011 

On March 31, 2011, the Student Research Forum highlighted exciting research being conducted by KUMC students through annual poster session and oral presentations. The Center for Reproductive Sciences and the Center for Epigenetics and Stem Cell Biology each identified 1 outstanding oral presentation in their respective area of research focus, and on April 1, 2011, awarded two deserving students a wooden award plaque and a $500 travel award. The winning students are mentored by Susan Carlson, PhD, and Grace Guo, PhD. Please join us in congratulating these students on their achievements!
