Clinical interests
I am a transplant nephrologist. I work with patients with end stage renal disease for their pre-transplant evaluation, manage patients during the peri-transplant period and care for them after their transplant.

Research interests
My research interests have developed from my clinical experiences. I strive to provide better care and quality of life to my patients through my research. My research is on geriatric nephrology with a focus on cognitive impairment and quality of life in patients with kidney diseases. I am studying cognitive function before and after kidney transplantation and the adverse effects of immunosuppression on cognition and quality of life. I am also interested in research related to organ allocation policies and their effects on access to kidney transplantation, especially for older patients with end stage renal disease.
