Research Activities

Research Interests

Chemical genetics approach (using small molecule and foldamer probes) to study retinoic acid (RA), oxidative stress and Transforming Growth Factor beta (TGF-beta) signaling pathways to identify novel druggable targets and develop new therapeutic and diagnostic agents (multi modality probes) for diseases modulated by above signaling pathways and potentially new pathways we may identify (giving emphasis to CNS disorder, cancer and metabolic disorder diseases) by using Organic Synthesis, Molecular Modeling, Chemical Biology, Bio-orthogonal Chemistry, Molecular Imaging (Multimodality Probes), Molecular Therapeutics, and Molecular Nano biotechnology.
