Health Services Research

The Division of Health Services Research consists of faculty members who conduct research on the delivery, organization, financing, quality, and safety of health care services. Our faculty members have particular expertise in the design of interventional and observational studies in quality improvement, smart-technology based patient-centric care, medical prediction and decision making, clinical effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and the analysis of large medical datasets.

Our vision:

To improve individual and population well-being and health by transforming health care delivery through innovative health services research and to become a recognized resource for translational research in the delivery of health care.

Our objectives:

  • To establish a multidisciplinary team of investigators with expertise across the spectrum of health services research
  • To foster collaboration among clinicians and health services researchers within and outside of the Department
  • To support educational and research mentoring programs that focus on evidence- and value-based practice, patient-centered outcomes and health services research
