Cancer Site Specific Teams

The Division of Hematologic Malignancies and Cellular Therapeutics at the University of Kansas Medical Center has developed Cancer Site Specific Teams. Our physicians specialize in specific types of cancer and are experts in their field.

The teams support the professional development of interdisciplinary members through clinical practice, education, research, quality and organizational opportunities. They elicit expert opinion from researchers, radiation oncologists, surgeons, cancer psychologists, hematopathologist, laboratory personnel, among other professionals to determine the optimal treatment plan when reviewing clinical cases.

Cancer Site Specific Teams develop comprehensive quality cancer care service from screening to survivorship for patients with cancer.
