Fellowship Application Process

KUMC offers a one year clinical Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program.  We currently offer 4 Fellowship Positions annually: 3 Adult Focused track positions and 1 Pediatric Focused track position. Our program is accredited through the ACGME. Fellowship applicant eligibility guidelines are outlined in section III A of the ACMGE Hospice and Palliative Medicine Common Program Requirements.  Our program has trained fellows with anesthesiology, emergency medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, med-peds, med-psych, neurology, pediatric, and surgery backgrounds.  We are open to considering applicants of additional residency backgrounds in accordance with ACGME standards.

Our program will go through NRMP Fellowship MATCH and uses ERAS for applications.

General Time-line for HPM Fellowship Applicants (year preceding fellowship start): 
Spring/Summer: Applications accepted through ERAS
Late Summer/Fall: Interview Season
Winter: NRMP Sub-Specialty MATCH
