Early interest in Geriatrics led to a firm foundation in Palliative Medicine, which was fostered during Dr. Sinclair's Internal Medicine Residency. A month rotation during his second year of residency encouraged the realization that one could practice Palliative Medicine as a career. Having finished his palliative medicine fellowship, Dr. Sinclair has a great interest in education and making a proper balance between service and education. He has been the Palliative Medicine Fellowship Director at Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care for the fellowship's inagural years. He is an invited speaker for many regional and national talks on end-of-life issues. Dr. Sinclair is also a graduate of the Harvard Palliative Care in Education and Practice Program. He serves on the AAHPM Board of Directors and is the incoming President Elect for AAHPM. He keeps up to date on current literature in the hospice and palliative medicine field as editor of Pallimed, a blog focusing on end-of-life and education.
