Leigh Wagner is a nutritionist at KU Integrative Medicine. She specializes in comprehensive nutrition assessment and personalized nutrition programs. Her areas of expertise include:

  • Hypothyroidism
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Type 2 Diabetes and Pre-diabetes
  • Nutrient Deficiencies

A product of a family with a love for cooking, Leigh also enjoys teaching cooking classes to multiple audiences:

  • All people (patients, staff, students and the public) at The "Healing Foods Kitchen" (at KU Integrative Medicine on the main KUMC Campus)
  • Cancer Survivors and their Caregivers at The KU Clinical Research Center (in Fairway, KS)
  • Cardiac Rehab Patients at The Mid-America Cardiology at the University of Kansas Hospital (on the main KUMC Campus)

In addition to counseling and cooking classes, Leigh has a PhD in Medical Nutrition Science from the KUMC Department of Dietetics and Nutrition. Her research focused on nutritional treatments for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
