The University of Kansas Medical Center is seeking a physician with passion for wellness and lifestyle medicine to serve as director of its nationally recognized Department of Integrative Medicine. The Integrative Medicine director will also be medical director of Wellness Services, a new directive that will expand Integrative Medicine's footprint across The University of Kansas Health System.
The Integrative Medicine Department is well established. Jeanne Drisko, MD, founded the practice in 1998. Since then, she has formed a multidisciplinary healthcare team trained in integrative and functional medicine. The department's fellowship program continues to train fellows in integrative medicine on a yearly academic schedule. Integrative Medicine's mission focuses on clinical, academic, and research activity, like the mission of the broader Health System.
Wellness Services is a new directive expanding the footprint of Integrative Medicine in support of wellness across the health system. The medical director will provide leadership, management, and supervision while designing, developing, and implementing evidence-based strategies and programs that advocate for wellness and support a high quality of life.
This position offers generous compensation and a full benefits package, including a robust retirement program, advanced practice technology including electronic medical records, and a positive work-life balance.
