Application Process

Thank you for your interest in the Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program at the University of Kansas Medical Center. 

We accept applications through the ERAS® (Electronic Residency Application Service) for Applicants.

A complete application includes the following:

• Up-to-date Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Board Scores
• ECFMG (as applicable)
• Letter of recommendation from your program director
• Three additional letters of recommendation
• Personal statement
• Current photograph
• Official transcripts

Please provide all required elements, as we cannot consider incomplete applications.

Applicants may begin applying for the Infectious Diseases fellowship through ERAS® in July of each year.  Applications will be reviewed and interviews offered over the subsequent four months, with a start date of July the following year. Once ERAS® closes, additional applications will be accepted only if positions remain available.

Of special note:

• We have six approved fellowship positions available over each two-year period. We accept at least two fellows per academic year, with additional fellows accepted in alternating years.
• We accept J-1 visas in our program. We may be able to accept H1-B visas under special circumstances, so we welcome these applications as well.
