As Associate Director & Curator of the Clendening Museum, I manage the museum materials. This involves the collecting, organizing, arranging and preservation of materials in the collection.
My duties as also involve the acquisition of donated artifacts, and the cataloguing and care of various works of art and three-dimensional artifacts reflecting the history of medicine. Developing and presenting exhibits, scheduling the museum exhibits, finding and acquiring in traveling exhibits, and work with KUMC’s Diversity Initiative by finding or creating complementary exhibits.
I also am developing an internship for museum students to provide training in creation of exhibits and understanding the world of the small museum.
As Arbiter Elegantiae I advise and help in the pursuit of all things epicurean within the department of History of Medicine.
