Created in 2003, the Writing Consult Center (WCC) provides teaching and editing services to the faculty and investigators at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Its goal is to increase faculty productivity in grants, scholarly publications, and research projects.
Located at 2025B Robinson on the second floor, the WCC offers workshops, small seminars, and individual instruction to faculty members and students throughout the year. Teaching includes the nuts-and-bolts of good scientific and medical writing to the skills needed to edit the finished product of journal manuscripts and grant proposals. The Writing Consult Center is part of the Department of History and Philosophy of Medicine and is directed by Dr. Martha Montello.
