Dr. Tanya Bedward

Medical School: Guadalajara

Hobbies & Interests: Taking group fitness classes at the local gym, running in local 5k races, tennis, global medical education.

Dr. Candice Coffey

Medical School: KU School of Medicine

Hobbies & Interests: I enjoy traveling and have a life goal to visit all fifty states as well as the seven continents. In my free time I enjoy cooking, especially for my family and friends. This past year I have taken up running and have completed nine races. I look forward to increasing my distance and competing more often. Lastly, I enjoy live theater, particularly musicals. If you can't find me running or cooking in a foreign country or state nearby then most likely you'll find me in a local theater watching a great show!

Dr. Mark Fierro

Medical School: Guadalajara

Hobbies & Interests: I enjoy playing unorganized sports, such as basketball, football, and tennis. I enjoy traveling throughout the United States and also abroad. I also enjoy cooking with my wife and just spending time with her in general.

Dr. Justin Lawing

Medical School: Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences

Hobbies & Interests:I enjoy spending time with my wife, Amanda. I also enjoy water skiing in the summer, as well as mushroom hunting, and camping. During the winter I enjoy snow skiing. I enjoy watching the Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs.

Dr. Sara Lowery

Medical School: American University of the Caribbean

Hobbies & Interests: I enjoy hunting for quail, pheasant, deer, and turkey. I also enjoy wakeboarding, tennis, and golf. Additionally, I am in the process of getting my pilot's license for 2-seater planes.

Dr. Bhakti Patel

Medical School: St. George's University

Hobbies & Interests: I enjoy cooking and celebrating food with friends and family.
Dancing has been a life-long passion. I also enjoy traveling and making new experiences. I recently returned from Hawaii, where I was able to do kayaking and snorkeling.

Dr. Naveen Penmasta

Medical School: Ross University

Hobbies & Interests: My hobbies and interests beside medicine include tourism. I have traveled across much of the country and have been to Europe as well. I have toured most of India as it is the birth place of my parents. I plan on touring Africa in the future during my residency vacation blocks. I enjoy outdoor sports and play basketball and football. I read quite a bit of biographies on famous personalities.

Dr. Jonathan Philippe

Hobbies & Interests: I enjoy spending time with my children; I play soccer and the drums; I sing; and I am learning how to play the guitar.
