Continuing Medical Education
Reimbursement for continuing medical education can be used for board exams, medical equpiment, books, journals, computer programs and conferences:

Several excellent health and dental insurance packages are provided for residents and their families at an affordable rate.
Other Benefits
Professional Liability - Professional liability is provided by the State of Kansas. It extends to rotations included in the Family Medicine Residency curriculum and to approved Locum Tenens activities.
Workers Compensation - Through the Workers Compensation Self-Insurance Fund, an employee health insurance plan, certain benefits are provided for workers who are injured while carrying out their job.
Leave - Flexible options of up to three months are available for necessary leave time.
Uniforms - Three long white coats are provided.
Meals - Sponsored luncheons are offered occasionally and meal cards are provided for residents while on Family Medicine Call. Residents also receive meals at several outside hospitals while rotating on their services.

Library - Access to the Dykes Medical Library, one of the most complete medical libraries in the Midwest.
Parking - Residents are provided premium parking free of charge by the department.
