When you are running low on prescription drugs you take regularly, please first check your drug container. If the label says that you still have a refills left on the prescription, call your pharmacy directly; you do not need another prescription from your physician. If the label says you have "0" or "No" refills left, you should make plans well in advance of running out of your medication to get a refill. If you have an appointment soon, be sure to request your refills then. Call at least 2 days in advance. This allows your chart to be pulled and reviewed by your physician.Refills are usually addressed within 48 hours. Indicate your pharmacy name and phone number. Indicate your name, date of birth, and your phone number. Indicate the name of your medicine(s) and the strength. Routine refills may be requested through your pharmacy. Refills are not made during the weekends or evenings. An appointment may be necessary, especially if you have not been seen in the past 6-12 months.
