Faculty Development Series

KU School of Medicine Faculty Affairs and Development office is pleased to offer 35-50 programs each academic year. Faculty members can develop and enhance their skills as teachers, clinicians, researchers, leaders in academic medical education, and writers, as well as skills critical to the success with mentoring experiences and their own career development. In addition, Faculty Affairs and Development uses the web to provide information 24/7. For example our Faculty Mentoring Program page provides left column links to a better explain Understanding Ranks & Tracks, a Matrices with examples of what you need to accomplish and when while planning for promotion and tenure, and an Abridged Guidelines for Promotion version of the official Faculty Handbook.  It is Faculty Affairs and Faculty Development's goal is to help our faculty members get the answers they need, when they need them and thus provide career satisfaction from their efficient use of time.
