Classroom Experience

You'll find our curriculum challenging intellectually, physically and emotionally. Labs cover the core content in emergency medicine and conferences offer five hours of protected time Wednesday mornings, 7:00 a.m.-noon.

Core Conference
Core conference is structured to cover the "Model of the Clinical Practice of Emergency Medicine" which provides the basis for all examinations by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Meets every Wednesday from 7:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.

Follow Up Conference
Residents present cases highlighting key aspects of patients' care or pathology. Meets the third Wednesday of each month.

Journal Club
Residents and faculty openly discuss ideas and research published in professional and academic journals, and their possible effects on the practice of emergency medicine. Residents become familiar with methods of critically evaluating scholarly literature. Meets the second Wednesday of each month.

Multidisciplinary Patient Safety Conference
