About the Program
The University of Kansas Medical Center began its ACGME-accredited Vascular/Interventional Radiology Fellowship Program in 2001. The fellowship length is one year, beginning on July 1 and ending on June 30. EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 24, 2013, ACGME HAS APPROVED OUR PROGRAM FOR TWO FELLOWSHIP POSITIONS.
Our fellowship program selects TWO fellows each year through the National Resident Matching Program. Applicants must successfully complete an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program and pass all Board examinations from the American Board of Radiologists.

Our program will begin accepting applications for VIR Fellowship candidates on December 1. Please do not fax additional application documents, unless requested by the Program. Please email your complete application packet to firstname.lastname@example.org.

The deadline for application is March 1. However, we encourage you to submit your application sooner for earlier consideration.
Fellowship Selection Committee members review all completed applications to select those applicants for interview. All applicants will be invited by email. It is our policy that all applicants will receive a determination email (invited for interview or not) from our Program by March 5.
Interviews will be conducted based on the availability of the Program faculty.
