Curriculum

Our residency program observes thirteen 4-week rotations, instead of the traditional twelve month-long rotations. The additional rotation allows our residents greater variety in their educational experience.


SAMPLE PGY-2 CURRICULUM DIAGRAM (13 - 4 week rotations):

All rotations will be at the Kansas University Medical Center. Residents should rotate through:

  • Cardiothoracic (plain films)
  • Body (fluoro)
  • Body (CT/MR)
  • Neuroradiology (CT)
  • Musculoskeletal (plain films)
  • Nuclear Medicine
  • Sonography
  • Vascular / Interventional

The PGY-5 year is designed for maximum flexibility to accommodate individual subspecialty emphasis. The residents will have required rotations in breast imaging and Emergency Radiology. The remaining 11 of 13 rotations will be elective rotations offered in the areas indicated with *.
