The Cray Diabetes Self-Management Center and The University of Kansas Hospital have teamed up to offer free classes to patients who do not have insurance coverage for diabetes education. Although most insurance companies pay for diabetes education, we know that education is so important that we want to provide a resource for patients whose coverage is not so inclusive.

Bring a friend: Appointments are very comprehensive and the amount of information you receive can seem overwhelming. Bring one friend or family member with you to help listen and take notes at no extra cost to you! The appointment will be focused on the patient's needs; if your friend or family member has specific questions regarding his/her diabetic needs, we request that he/she make a separate appointment.
