Carbohydrate Counting: 101

Diabetes class -- carb counting

What's this all about?

How does food affect your blood sugar? The Basic Carbohydrate Counting class teaches the basics of identifying foods with carbohydrates and how to include them in a balanced diet for diabetes treatment. We give you all the secrets about how to eat what you want without your blood sugars telling on you! We also review common myths, such as – do you really have to avoid anything white? Does fruit have carbohydrates? Can all foods really be included in your diabetes diet?

Recommended for patients who:

  • Would like to adjust eating patterns to better manage blood glucose levels
  • Would like to move towards advanced diabetes treatment options
  • Are unsure of how or what to eat to manage diabetes
