Research Opportunities

*Research opportunities are unaffiliated with the GNO program but through affiliated programs and colleagues.

Consider participating in a research study with us or one of our partners. Dr. Matt Mosconi, Director of the Kansas Center for Autism Research and Training (KCART), is doing research to better understand brain development and motor abilities in people with and without autism, ages 10-25 years old. Dr. Jamison is a co-investigator on the study and leading the charge to ensure females are represented in this research. Visit the neurobehavioral development lab to learn more.

Researchers at the Juniper Gardens Children's Project at the University of Kansas are working with adolescents or young adults (ages 16-32) with autism to support social and job-related skills within their employment settings, through interventions leveraging technology. Participants will be provided with a video modeling intervention to increase their verbalization of customer service skills specific to the job site (e.g., greeting, service, closing phrases). Please contact Leslie Bross, at leslie.bross@ku.edu or (816) 719-6546 if you would like more information about participating in the study.
