Teri Lavenbarg received her MSN in 1993 and post-Masters Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certification from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1999. She is board certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner. Her undergraduate work was completed in 1983 at the University of Texas in Arlington with a post-graduate rehabilitation emphasis.

She has more than 23 years of experience working in the United States and abroad in medical, community and home settings with children and families affected by chronic illness and developmental disabilities. Teri is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. She is currently coordinating the Children with Special Health Care Needs Clinics (Seating, Cerebral Palsy and Urology) at the CCHD and provides coverage for outreach clinics as needed.
