About Us
The Center for Child Health and Development (CCHD) supports families and providers at the local, state and national levels by:
- Providing interdisciplinary diagnostic services for children with development concerns
- Integrating developmental health needs with mental health issues
- Providing behavioral support services for the child and their family
- Providing outreach to rural areas through telehealth sites and on-site clinic across the state of Kansas
- Training graduate, pre-doctoral and post-doctoral students
- Researching the causes and treatment in developmental disorders including autism and Fragile X
- Working with community partners to increase capacity in the diagnosis and treatment of autism
