Biochemistry Faculty Development
The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology desires that all faculty members succeed in their careers, and we are committed to help you as best we can in that endeavor. Besides just the Chair and your individual Mentoring Committee, our entire faculty, because we are a relatively small department, has made the commitment to help in your development. This help includes, but is not limited to: establishing your laboratory, identifying potential local collaborators, and advising on research projects, the preparation of grant applications, and teaching. Our ultimate goal is to assist you in establishing a solid program with momentum as quickly as possible, so that your progress to tenure and promotion is straightforward and predictable. Some of the actions that you should initially perform are listed below.
