Societies Overview

The KU Medical Alumni Academic Societies consists of eight socieities: six on the Kansas City campus, one on the Wichita campus, and one on the Salina campus. Societies are comprised of students from each class year, with new students assigned to a Society at the very outset of their first year, and faculty members who serve as advisors these students. In addition to elected Student Leaders, each society has a Faculty Director and Associate Faculty Directors. These leaders establish and plan the events for the year including lunch meetings, social gatherings, and seasonal celebrations.
