Activities and Updates

Amber Conn, B.S., DRS, was awarded the Parkinson's Foundation Clinical Research Award, a two-year award supporting the research expenses of a clinician scientist whose clinically oriented research involves people living with Parkinson's disease. Her project aims to educate people with Parkinson's disease on driving and falls prevention.

Jamie Myers, Ph.D., RN, presented a poster at the Oncology Nursing Society's 44th Annual Congress in Anaheim, Calif., on April 12, 2019. Her poster was titled "Pupillary Response, Driving Simulation, and Cognitive Load: Assessment of Cognitive Function for Breast Cancer Survivors."

LARRS team member and rehabilitation science doctoral student Melike Kahya (above, second from left) was one of only three KU students nominated for the 2019 Dorothy Knoll Student Leadership Award. She was recognized for her leadership on and off campus during the Student Leader Award Ceremony on March 27, 2019. Her mentor is Hannes Devos, Ph.D., DRS.
