Our Faculty

The Department of Occupational Therapy Education is interested and committed to helping every student become the professional he or she aspires to be! With diverse clinical, teaching, service and research experience, KU faculty are in strong position to advise, teach and mentor across all of department's academic programs.

KU Department of Occupational Therapy Education faculty serve three distinct academic programs:

  • Its entry-level master's program is ranked among the top in the country and will transition to a doctorate in 2019.
  • Kansas Jayhawk mascotA post-professional clinical doctorate is available for practicing occupational therapists and is offered entirely online.
  • Finally, a research-focused interdisciplinary Ph.D. program aims to address issues related to health and disability.

The Complementary Learning Pathways Program, under development, will be designed to provide students across our educational programs with opportunities for advanced learning in specific areas acquired through a formal degree (e.g., MPH or MBA) or certification in a specialized topic (e.g., teaching, upper extremity rehabilitation).
