Academic Background
Jennifer (Madsen) Bendure, CRNA, DNP, graduated with her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Kansas, receiving a clinical excellence award, in 2010. In 2016, she earned a doctorate degree in nursing practice from the University of Kansas.
Bendure is a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, the Kansas Association of Nurse Anesthetists, and Sigma Theta Tau International.
Professional Background
Bendure currently serves as clinical assistant professor for the Department of Nurse Anesthesia Education. She previously worked in the intensive care unit at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo.
Clinical and Academic Focus
A co-instructor in the nurse anesthesia curriculum, Bendure teaches courses in advanced theory as well as advanced pathophysiology. She teaches in various clinical areas, but her interests include pediatrics, general surgery, and outpatient surgery at KU MedWest.
