A clinical associate professor in the Department of Hearing and Speech, Debby Daniels, PhD, CCC-SLP, has taught a large number of courses in the speech-language pathology degree programs. Currently she teaches SPLH 862 Clinical Processes and is leading the implementation of KU's new clinical doctorate in SLP for working professionals.
Daniels earned a bachelor's and a master's degree from the University of Kansas. She then worked as a pediatric speech-language pathologist in hospital and school settings. She also provided home-based infant/toddler intervention. Daniels returned to KU and joined the faculty in 1992; in 2003 Daniels completed her doctorate at KU Medical Center.
Daniels has been active in faculty governance at KU Medical Center and is involved with professional associations including the Kansas Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
