Tools for department administrators
All tenured faculty members will have a post-tenure review every seven years to support continued professional development. The individuals reviewed each year are selected on a scheduled basis. Reviews may also be triggered earlier under specific circumstances (see the post-tenure review section of the school's bylaws).
Participation in the post-tenure review process is mandatory. Key information on the policy and the school’s process of post-tenure review are available athrough links below.

Annual Timeline for Post-Tenure Review process
August: List of faculty members for post-tenure review wil be approved by the APT committee
August/September: Faculty members selected for review are notified
January 15: Deadline for submission of materials
January and February: Post-tenure reviews conducted
Late February: Post-tenure review outcomes reported to the APT committee
March 1: Submission of letters to individual faculty members and to dean conveying post-tenure review decision and summarizing recommendations.
By May 31: The dean will submit a report of that year’s post-tenure review outcomes to the vice chancellor for academic affairs, the executive vice chancellor of the University of Kansas Medical Center, and the chair of each individual faculty member’s department.
