Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences
Jennifer Jones, MT(ASCP) leads undergraduate courses in clinical hematology and clinical immunology, in addition to fundamentals of analytical techniques and immunochemistry. As clinical instructor, Jones also teaches student laboratory and senior seminar in the clinical laboratory science program.
Jones has been recognized as an outstanding educator having received multiple departmental awards as well as the Stata Norton Distinguished Teaching Award, one of the school's highest levels of recognition for excellence in education. She serves as class advisor for first and second year students, serves on admissions and scholarship committees, and coordinates the clinical rotations for clinical laboratory science students.
In 1981, Jones earned a Bachelor of Science in zoology from Duke University. Two years later, she obtained a Medical Technologist Certificate from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists through the University of Kansas.
