Andrew Jones, MBA, MLS (ASCP)cm teaches undergraduate courses in management principles in healthcare, and co-teaches fundamentals of analytical techniques. As an clinical assistant professor, Jones also leads student laboratory courses in bacteriology and mycology/parasitology in the clinical laboratory science program.
In 2012, Jones earned a bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science from the University of Kansas. He became an ASCP-certified medical laboratory scientist the same year. He also earned a master's degree in business administration in 2015 from Baker University, Baldwin City, Kansas.
Prior to teaching, Jones worked for five years as a microbiologist at The University of Kansas Health System. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he is still an active, ASCP-certified, medical laboratory scientist in the microbiology laboratory for The University of Kansas Health System.
Jones is active in multiple laboratory professional organizations including ASCP, CLMA, and ASCLS.
