Marie Curie Travel Award
to Lynda Fletcher

Jim Mitchell

The Marie Curie Travel Award is for the best abstract submitted by a young investigator for a travel award from the society. This years winner is Lynda Fletcher, Ph.D., who is currently a post-doc in Ruth Muschel’s lab at the U. Penn. Lynda obtained her Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of London in 1998 where she held a Wellcome Prize Studentship. Her current research focus is on G2 arrest after DNA damage where she has specifically been examining the significance of phosphorylation of cdc2 in this process. We will have the opportunity of hearing Lynda tell us about her research in the Award Winner’s session tomorrow morning. It is now my pleasure to present you with this check and with this award certificate.

L. Fletcher receives Marie Curie Award from meeting Program Committee Chair and incoming President J. Mitchell
