• Teaching modules on The Illness of Vincent van Gogh, developed by Wilfred Arnold, Ph.D., were featured in the NETwatch column of the April 28th issue of Science.  The article may be seen here.  The teaching modules may be found here.   These interactive teaching units were also featured in a recent KUMC Highlights.
• George Helmkamp, Ph.D., received the Student Voice Award for Outstanding Lecturer-First Year Basic Science at the 8th Annual Grande Affair held on Saturday, April 1, 2006.
• Ben Weaver, Graduate Student in Biochemistry, was awarded the 2006 Joe R. Kimmel Award for outstanding research presentation in biochemistry at the recent Student Research Forum.
• James Calvet, Ph.D., received an Investigator Research Award at the 2004 Faculty Research Day on November 18, 2004.
