All KCVAMC personnel can be reached by E-mail if they are connected to their local "Mailman" system terminals, since the latter is actually on an Internet-connected system. In that case, their e-mail addresses can be simply constructed as follows:

Conversely, anyone on the KCVA "Mailman" system can send external e-mail, e.g. to KUMC, by entering the full internet address of the intended receiver (if known) instead of the just the local last-name, first-name. For people on the KU Medical School servers running Groupwise (a.k.a. WordPerfect Office), USERIDs are constructed by using the first initial and as many characters of the last name until a total of not more than eight is reached, followed by (no spaces) the at symbol (@) and then the internet address. The INTERNET ADDRESS is most likely kumc.edu. Example: to send e-mail to Raja Khalifah from a VA mailman terminal, respond to SEND TO by entering: rkhalifa@kumc.edu
