Cherilyn M. DeSouza, M.D.

Cherilyn M. DeSouza, M.D., Clinical Associate Professor, has been on staff at the VA Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri since 1980 and is currently the Mental Health Program Director. Dr. DeSouza graduated from Seth, G.S. Medical College in Bombay, India in 1972. She served as a psychiatry resident at the University of Kansas Medical Center from 1975-1978. In addition to her position at the VA Hospital, Dr. DeSouza has staff privileges at the Cushing Memorial Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas. She was also a Staff Physician at St. John’s Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas from 1978-2000, Staff Physician at Providence Saint Margaret Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas from 1996-2000, and the Clinical Director of the Stress Unit at Cushing Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas in 1986.
