Application Requirements

residents in meeting

Our program begins with the PGY-2 training year. All candidates are STRONGLY encouraged to seek PGY-1 training for a Preliminary Year Program in Internal Medicine. You must separately apply for a PGY-1 position and, as one option, you may apply for a PGY-1 year through the Department of Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center. If any candidates are specifically interested in the Preliminary Year Program through Internal Medicine here at KU, please notify our Program Coordinator and we will help coordinate this interview should we offer you an interview for our program.

Further information concerning the Preliminary-Year in the Department of Internal Medicine Program can be obtained by referring to their web site at: www2.kumc.edu/internalmedicine or by calling (913) 588-6050.

Application Process for (PGY-2) 2011

We are presently accepting applications for PGY-2 for July 2011 through the electronic application process ERAS, which you can submit through your Medical School or through the ECFMG office. Please do not send universal applications since these will not be accepted or reviewed.

The deadline for application is December 31, 2009.
