My research is focused on two different demyelinating diseases of the nervous system, in particular globoid cell leukodystrophy (Krabbe's disease) and multiple sclerosis (MS). I am trying to understand the pathophysiological mechanisms and to develop therapeutic interventions for these diseases in the animal model of globoid cell leukodystrophy, the twitcher mouse, and the experimental allergic encephalomyelitis (EAE) model in mice for MS.
