The wait list assignment prioritization process is based on an “Employee Category” assigned to the employee and then “Years of Service” within each “Employee Category.”
There are three primary employee categories:
“Years of Service” is provided by KU Medical Center and health system HR information systems. If "Years of Service" doesn’t appear to capture all the consecutive years you have been on campus, please contact parking services.
When campus parking capacity allows for a certain zone/garage to add additional permits, the employees with the highest priority ranking who have selected that zone/garage will be offered the opportunity to move.
The selected person will be notified via email and have 10 business days to confirm he/she wants to move to the new zone/garage. After 10 days, the next constituent in order will be selected.
Please note that you will not lose your priority ranking on a wait list if you elect to defer your opportunity to relocate your parking assignment.
