Parking and Transportation Services

The university maintains various types of parking facilities to meet the needs of faculty, staff, employees and students. Because we have a large number of employees and students and a fairly concentrated campus, parking can be a challenge. Please use our website to learn more about the rules and regulations at KU Medical Center to ensure that your vehicle is parked properly and safely.

Reciprocal parking on KU-Lawrence campus: For detailed instructions on getting a permit to park on the KU-Lawrence campus, download this pdf.

Shuttle tracker: To cut down on wait times, passengers can track where KUMC shuttle buses are on their routes. Or to download the app on your phone: In the iPhone App Store or Google Play store, search for Fleetmatics -- it will be the first option in the list of apps. Download the app and use kumc as the username and shuttle as the password.

Oversized vehicle parking: Please call 913-588-5030 to be directed to the oversized vehicle parking area.

Overnight camping is not permitted on campus, however, there are several surrounding campgrounds.
