The university maintains various types of parking facilities to meet the needs of faculty, staff, employees and students. Because we have a large number of employees and students and a fairly concentrated campus, parking can be a challenge. Please use our website to learn more about the rules and regulations at KU Medical Center to ensure that your vehicle is parked properly and safely.
Register Parking Preferences
Beginning Monday, March 20th, all faculty, staff, students and residents (except night shift employees) will need to note their parking preferences in their online parking profile. The last date to update your parking profile is Thursday, April 19th. More information on the process to register parking preferences may be found in the intranet.
Save money and help preserve the environment. Take advantage of alternative modes of transport to and from the KU Medical Center campus.
Parking Garage 5 Project
Visit the University of Kansas Medical Center's Parking Garage 5 website for details on the construction of an additional garage facility at the corner of 38th and Cambridge Streets.
Reciprocal parking on KU-Lawrence campus
Request reciprocal priveleges on the Lawerence campus by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Upon verification of your permit and car will, priveleges will be set up based on your KUMC parking registration credentials. It is your responsibility to ensure that you park in the corresponding color zone and are fully aware of all applicable parking policies.
Oversized vehicle parking
Please call 913-588-5030 to be directed to the oversized vehicle parking area.
Overnight camping is not permitted on campus, however, there are several campgrounds located near campus.
