Application Information for: Taipei Medical University


Any US passport holder can enjoy visa-exempt entry into Taiwan for up to 90 daysfor whatever purpose if:

  • He or she has a passport with validity of at least six months after entry; and
  • He or she has a confirmed return air ticket or an air ticket and a visa for the next destination, and a confirmed seat reservation for departure;
  • He or she has no criminal record.

Application Process:

Applicants are required to have Chinese or English speaking and listening ability.

Application Fees:

For the PS (Program Student), the fee varies according to the policy of the applied affiliation.
For the CS (Clerkship Student), the training fee is US$150 per week.
The fee is non-refundable after registration.

The CS has to choose from TMU affiliated hospitals apprenticeship. Details can be foundat their websites:


Dormitory vacancies and housings (for a rental fee) are limited, depending on the exchange period. If none are available, applicants
need to find accommodations by themselves.
