School of Medicine Clinical Electives Program
Due to the evolving nature of COVID19 and the resulting effect on our Medical Center, KUMC is deferring any Clinical Elective opportunities until January 2022. We will update the website when these opportunities are open again.
We don't offer electives in July, August or September.
The University of Kansas Medical Center offers clinical electives to international medical students in their final year of medical school. The Clinical Electives Program at KUMC is a great opportunity for students to enhance their medical knowledge by gaining practical skills while training alongside our faculty physicians. Each clinical elective module is four weeks. International students are limited to no more than two modules. There are a limited number of spaces available for each module, and the application process starts 6-8 months prior to the elective start date.
